We have made the decision to close the Leeds Lodge for the foreseeable future. As far as we can discern the decision to close is being adopted by all Lodges across the country, including the London HQ. We will review the situation with due reference to government guidelines.
Please note that the Gary Kidgell lecture scheduled for 6 July has been postponed due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation. We hope to host Gary's talk sometime in mid-September. The Leeds Lodge will therefore be closed until the autumn.
In the meantime below is the link for on-line lectures lasting 45 minutes starting on Sunday 7th June, as part of the on-line European School of Theosophy.
Tim Wyatt will be giving his talks on Sunday 7th June and Sunday 12th July, Dr Edi Bilimoria will be giving his talk on Sunday 14th June and Dr Paul Barker will be giving his talk on Sunday 21st June.

What is Theosophy

The word Theosophy has been used for many centuries. It is of Greek origin (theo- 'divine', and sophia - 'wisdom') meaning Divine Wisdom. It is the wisdom that cannot be enclosed within words.
It is a Truth which must be discovered and experienced by each one for themselves.
Theosophy, sometimes also called the Ageless Wisdom, is the Light which shines through the many coloured lamps of religions. It is the thread of truth in scriptures, creeds, symbols, myths and rituals. [Read More]

The Mission Statement of the Theosophical Society

“To serve humanity by cultivating an ever-deepening understanding and realization of the Ageless Wisdom, spiritual Self-transformation, and the Unity of all Life.”

Resolution passed by the General Council of the Theosophical Society (2018).

The Objects of the Society

  1. To form a nucleus of the Universal Brotherhood of humanity without distinction of race, creed, sex, caste or colour.
  2. To encourage the study of comparative religion, philosophy and science.
  3. To investigate unexplained laws of nature and the powers latent in man.

**** Do you try to encourage true friendliness and sympathy between people of all nations, cultures and beliefs?
**** Do you feel you are open-minded enough to learn about other people's religions and to see the signs of unity within all of them?
**** Would you enjoy exchanging ideas on how the sciences of the outer physical world and the teachings dealing with the Soul of things can be reconciled?
**** Above all, are you interested in contributing to the welfare of mankind by developing the potentials innate in each one of us?

We welcome anyone who is in sympathy with our aims and objects.
